The first day of our “Business and the Environment” conference is behind us — and we can say with confidence that it was a day full of inspiration, engaging presentations and conversations that demonstrated just how committed and involved the refrigeration and air conditioning industry is in environmental protection.
At the Panorama Hotel in Mszczonów, representatives of businesses, public institutions, industry organisations and experts gathered to discuss how economic development can be combined with care for the climate.
From early in the morning, the conference room was buzzing with energy and a positive atmosphere. We welcomed numerous participants who had travelled from across Poland to expand their knowledge, exchange experience and jointly seek new, practical solutions for their businesses.
During the first day, we discussed, among other topics:
- the management of refrigeration and air conditioning waste,
- reporting obligations and upcoming changes in legislation,
- updates to the Central Operator Register,
- the current state of the waste electrical equipment market,
- and projects that are actively supporting the transition towards a circular economy, such as RE-ELECTRO 4 LIFE and Coolspaces 4 LIFE.
There was also space to address a topic particularly close to our hearts — illegal trade in refrigerants.
As part of the Legal HFC 4 LIFE project presentation, we discussed the actions being taken to curb illegal HFC trading, strengthen market controls and support enforcement services in tackling this problem. We are pleased that the topic generated considerable interest and sparked a lively discussion.
As always, the conference was not only an opportunity to gain knowledge, but also a chance for networking and the exchange of experience. In the corridors, long conversations took place on the practical aspects of implementing new regulations, the challenges of day-to-day work in service companies and businesses, and ways to strengthen cooperation within the industry.
It is precisely these informal discussions that create the unique atmosphere of the event — one of openness, mutual support and shared purpose.
Following the substantive programme, we invited participants to a gala dinner, where conversations continued until late in the evening. It was a time for networking, reflecting on the day and planning future joint activities.
The first day of the “Business and the Environment” conference once again proved that only by acting together — companies, experts, institutions and organisations — can we effectively respond to climate challenges and build a future grounded in responsibility.
