The series of training sessions developed as part of the project, based on the revised F-gas legislation, focuses not only on legal issues but also on the practical identification of refrigerants and cylinders — all with the aim of raising awareness in the fight against illegal HFCs.

- Safety when working with flammable refrigerants in practice.
- Refrigerant testing using a gas analyser.
- Workstation preparation and activity documentation.
- Labelling of portable containers, colour coding and warning labels.
- Safe refrigerant recovery and equipment charging.
A non-certified product of uncertain composition can cause numerous system failures and, as a result, affect not only the environment through CO2 emissions into the atmosphere, but also the safe operation of the equipment. Industry workers who purchase refrigerants may come into contact with individuals offering illegal HFCs — often without being aware that the refrigerant they have purchased originates from an illegal source.
The training sessions are dedicated to public authorities and the refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump industry. The industry-focused sessions will also place emphasis on practical skills such as identifying illegal HFCs appearing on the market, distinguishing legal from illegal offers, and recognising the appearance of single-use containers.
Training participants independently carry out tasks such as:
- refrigerant testing using a gas analyser,
- workstation preparation and activity documentation,
- labelling of portable containers, colour coding and warning labels,
- safe refrigerant recovery and equipment charging.
