Specific Objectives

The project’s specific objectives focus on raising awareness and knowledge among representatives of the refrigeration and air conditioning industry, public officials and the general public regarding the handling of illegal HFCs and legislative changes, as well as drawing attention to the problem of refrigerant smuggling.

Specific objectives:

  • Raising awareness and knowledge among public authority representatives regarding the handling of illegal HFCs and legislative changes, through:
    • Training sessions for public service staff
  • Shaping the content of Poland’s national F-gas act through the organisation of discussion panels, during which informal recommendations will be developed.
  • Raising awareness and knowledge among representatives of the refrigeration and air conditioning industry regarding the handling of illegal HFCs and legislative changes, through:
    • Training sessions for the industry to draw attention to the problem of illegal HFCs,
    • The creation of a Polish website enabling users to check HFC quantities in CO2 equivalent, report illegal trading, and obtain information on how to proceed in the event of suspected smuggling,
    • A communication campaign on existing social media platforms, enabling outreach to a wide audience for the purpose of promoting the project and encouraging the industry to report suspected illegal HFC trading,
    • Educational videos addressing the problem of illegal HFC trading,
    • Articles in industry journals.
  • Building public awareness through a range of communication activities directed at the general public, including:
    • A communication campaign on existing social media platforms,
    • A series of webinars aimed at the general public,
    • An advertising campaign in municipal public transport companies in the form of short spots on public transport in the largest cities (Warsaw, Gdańsk, Kraków, Poznań, Wrocław),
    • Articles in general-interest publications.
